Librairies

Anyone who lives in Montreal can apply for a library card. This will give you access to borrow books, musical instruments, and other supplies for activities from any of the libraries in the network.

Library Card Application Form

To receive a Montreal library card, you must live in Montreal and be able to show proof of address. For the first three months, however, you can use the following online application, which will give you access to all ebooks and audio books available online through the library system. When you go in person for the first time, or after 3 months, you will need to apply in-person at any library for a library card. You can go to one of Montréal’s 45 libraries with photo ID and proof of address to get a permanent library card. 

Pret Numerique

The  Pret Numerique app allows you to configure your phone or tablet to easily read e-books from the library. 

Musical Instruments
